Some of the Devastation from Irene and Lee

This is getting to be a normal site on our day to day travels in the flood ravaged areas of New York, the good news is that some people are able to rebuild and more and more of the roads are starting to open back up, unfortunately there is still alot of work to be done before winter truly set in;

  2. So sad :( I hope things get better before the awful snow here in NY hits! Luckily we didn't get flooding in my part of NY!

  3. Devastating! The sad part to me is the news doesn't really cover things after a few weeks and you hear nothing more. Then people forget.

  5. uniquecozytreasures - The weather has been devasting this year. We had terrible floods here in the Midwest. Things are just starting to get some better. Many families lost everything and their farms too. Hope next year is better

  6. I live in NY also and was very lucky to not have that kind of devastation. A few trees down no power for a few days is nothing compared to what others went through.

  8. Its horrible what mother nature does to us every year, and how quickly we all forget when it doesn't immediatly impact us or our family.
